The report includes shipment volume and value, ASP, manufacturer volume ranking, shipment by tier, shipment by maker, and shipment by price point, and product mix analysis. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with notebook PC makers. The report finds that as HDD shortage problem had been resolved in March and vendors began to aggressively replenish inventories, the Greater China notebook PC shipment volume (including netbook PC) witnessed year-on-year growth in the first quarter of 2012. Nevertheless, owing to weak market demand and overall economic conditions, shipment growth of the industry is projected to be weaker than market expectation in the second quarter. It is anticipated that the industry's shipment volume will gradually bounce back starting from the second quarter and the growth momentum will continue well into the second half of 2012.
