發行人的話
資策會成立之初,就將推廣資訊教育列為協助政府建構資訊化社會的重要工作項目,過程中,除了舉辦「資訊週」、「資訊月」等相關活動外,隨著資訊軟體應用技術不斷精進,更積極著手培育相關人才,藉此支援各行各業提升資訊應用的深度;對此,資策會確實開啟了台灣資訊職業教育的新頁。迄今,累計已有40萬人次,接受資策會各類中高階技術及管理相關課程訓練的洗禮,並進入各產業扮演提升企業資訊化應用的尖兵。
值此知識經濟的時代,文化創意所帶來的價值愈來愈受重視,資策會以「孕育產業發展的引擎─培養新型態知識工作者」的使命再出發,數位教育研究所延續過去近三十年以來在培育人才上所累積的深厚經驗,協助產業開創優質整合式的學習環境與服務。
「創新」與「創意」來自於不斷學習。其中,創意產業不僅本身創造可觀的經濟效益,進一步再延伸至其他產業,為更多既有產業創造新機,提升其附加價值;另外,「科技化服務」所強調的創新應用則可提升各行業的營運效率,並藉由創新服務模式而擴大更多商機。因此,資策會提供資通訊技術、科技化服務、數位內容、營運管理四大面向的前瞻技術與應用課程,藉由人才養成,為各行各業注入創新活力。
Ever since it was first established, the Institute for Information Industry (III) has worked tirelessly to promote IT education and cultivate IT talent, helping the government to achieve its goal of building an e-Society. Besides organizing Info Month and other promotional events, III has also made a direct contribution to the training and cultivation of IT talent, thereby providing industry with the specialist manpower it needs to achieve widespread adoption of IT applications. III’s efforts in this field have marked a new page in the history of IT-related vocational training in Taiwan. To date, around 400,000 trainees have benefited from III’s training programs. People who have previously taken III’s intermediate and advanced IT and information management courses can now be found working in every sector of the economy, playing an important role in the ongoing process of e-enablement.
In today’s knowledge economy, the value in creativity of culture is more widely recognized than ever. In line with III’ s mission of “serving as an engine to drive the development of Taiwanese industry, and cultivating a new breed of knowledge workers”, III’s Digital Education Institute continues to leverage the experience that it has accumulated over the past nearly 30 years in the building of a high-quality, integrated learning environment for business enterprises.
Creativity and innovation derive from ceaseless, continuous learning. Besides the enormous economic benefits that they can produce directly by themselves, the creative industries can also exercise an immense indirect impact on other industries, creating new business opportunities for them. Furthermore, the innovative applications that are so prized in the field of IT-enabled Services can help to strengthen the operational efficiency of a wide range of industries, while innovative service models can help to create more business opportunities. The Digital Education Institute is working actively to plan cuttingedge IT application training courses – covering information and communications technology (ICT), IT-enabled Services, digital content and operational management – that can make a major contribution to the cultivation of creative talent, which can in turn inject new vitality and innovation into many different industries.
