Prize Description: Institute for Information Industry (III), with the technology for its Sustainable Urban Business Solution, received 2020 WITSA Global ICT Excellence Award. Institute of Information Industry(III) to develop Sustainable Urban Business Solution which connects Taichung’s key living areas and festivals using A/VR and AI solutions to offer diverse services for both residents and visitors. The goal is to create a smart application service ecosystem for the city through three modules: (1) digital content experience, (2) real and virtual data integration, and (3) business data analysis feedback.
Prize Description: Institute for Information Industry (III), with the technology for its innovative invention for smart vehicles, received 2020 Edison Awards. This invention is designed to build an integrated safety warning system where RSU (Roadside Unit) and OBU (Onboard Unit) can be integrated with RFID and multiple sensing equipment such as radars and recorders to automatically detect and avoid road hazards in a V2I (Vehicle to Infrastructure) environment.
Prize Description: Institute for Information Industry (III), with the technology of “Production Decision Support System with Digital Twins Solution for Bicycle Industry (PDSS)”, stood out from more than 1,000 innovative technologies from countries all around the world and won this year's US R&D 100 Award. The Ministry of Economic Affairs is schedule to hold the "2020 R&D100 Awards Press Conference" on October 5th .
Prize Description: "Smart School Alliance" (Smart School Alliance, SSA) promoted the live broadcast co-learning model to accumulate 6 years of experience, and was selected as one of Finland's HundrED 100 education innovations. As the epidemic becomes more severe, schools are closed in more than 160 countries around the world, and nearly 90% of students cannot go to school. The project team has built an international platform through remote practical learning and live course programs to provide solutions for non-stop schooling during the epidemic prevention period. The plan also hopes to encourage international educators to jointly stimulate innovative educational thinking.
