III and Japanese Corporation Asprova sign MOU to propel Smart Manufacturing Development

In response to Smart Machinery Project(智慧機械產業推動方案) and deepening smart manufacturing collaboration between Japanese and Taiwanese firms , Institute for Information Industry(III) and Japanese Corporation Asprova have signed MOU on May 26. Under the MOU, both sides will not only promote factory schedule visualization solution but also assist Taiwanese companies to apply it. The goal of the MOU is to speed up development of Taiwan smart manufacturing.

Mr. Vincent Hu, deputy director general of III International Division, pointed out that Advanced Planning and Scheduling System (APS) plays a key role in global smart manufacturing trend. To rapidly fulfill the needs of clients, corporations must integrate all resources efficiently and APS is the one of the best solutions. As Asprova is the leading company at manufacturing schedule visualization, Asprova is one of the best collaboration partners of Taiwanese industry.
In the future, III will spare no effort to cooperate with Aspova to build up the Taiwan and Japan smart manufacturing platform. By holding various activities, the platform aims to meet needs of manufacturing schedule visualization and smart manufacturing application in Taiwan. Meanwhile, Asprova also announced to set up service center with Ken System. Asprova will devote more resource to deepening relationships with Taiwanese firms.
As founded in 1994, Asprova Corporation is the first company in Japan to specialize in production scheduling software. After 20 years, Asprova is now holding 60% market share in production scheduling market in Japan. It has deployed in more than 2,000 factories worldwide. Since 1996, Asprova has won New Frontier Award and other 13 awards both in Japan and the world. In 2000, Asprova won Best manufacturing management system/product in the official CIM 2000 Award.
Mr. 藤井, deputy president of Asprova, pointed out that Asprova has devoted itself to APS for a long time. Mr.藤井hopes that this MOU will bring new cooperation pattern of Taiwanese and Japanese firms . Through the implementation of APS, Taiwanese firms may improve the competence in logistics, supply chain management, and negotiation between manufacturing and marketing.
