III and National Palace Museum march into Paris of France “Futur en Seine” with “Qian-Long CHAO – New Media Art Exhibition”

At the guidance of Sciences and Technology Ministry and IDB of MOEA, III cooperates with National Palace Museum integrates cross domain to co-produce “Qian-Long CHAO – New Media Art Exhibition”. After setting a record of million people viewers, surprisingly received invitation to Paris of France “Futur en Seine” for continuous four days exhibition at District 4 of City Hall and CNAM from 6/12 local time; the invited VIPs include: Taipei Representative in France, Mr. Michel Ching-long Lu, Mayor of French District 4 City Hall, Christophe Girard, Representative of Musee National des Arts Asiatiques- Guimet, IDB of MOEA Bureau Chief Dr. Ming-Chi Wu, VP of III, Dr. Gary Gong, and around one hundred French citizens to experience the brand new feeling of inter-dialog among Chinese Classical collection and the modern technology.
Dean of National Palace Museum, Ms. Ming-Chu Feng expressed that the cooperation mediation of Palace Museum and III for “Qian-Long CHAO – New Media Art Exhibition” to exhibit in Paris is the first and most complete Digital Art Exhibition to be exhibited in Paris by recent year for National Palace Museum. In the future, Palace Museum will be more actively in creating combination of Archive materials with Information Technology; the purpose is for National treasure by means of digital technology to disseminate into every corner of the world.
Digital Convergence has moved on content, platform, mobile carrier, and the high fusion of innovative idea, says Dr. Ming-Chi Wu of IDB/MOEA at the opening speech. He expressed that MOEA of Taiwan will be more actively promote innovative new media technology industry to produce locomotive effect in leading vigorous development in the new media art industry, and create new business opportunity.

With National Palace Museum and III consolidate the planning effort of sponsoring curator BBR Corporation, integrating the innovative creativity industry energy in Taiwan culture combining cross domain in couture fashion, photography, animation comic characters, installation art, creative culture merchandise and design etc, to join the exhibition in France. Using brand new innovative creativity to interpreter and analyzing history and artistic relics or heritage of Qian-Long emperor, trying to replace and mix emperor’s culture and sub-culture, and supplemental represented with modern wild and explosive aesthetic art. Such restructured of fantasy discovery of Odyssey overlaps with new space and time created a startling beauty in the capital of world fashion – Paris of France. In the future, III will continue the application of digital interactive technology combining with the depth of Chinese Artistic culture to propagate pure essence of Palace Classic collection and its spirit within. The special exhibit items in France are all particularly selected: the collected materials are from portrait of Qian-Long, and Rev. Giuseppe Castiglione (1688-1766) Jesuit priest’s painting of “Qian-Long emperor in official dress” re-evolved in “Time Mirror”; material taken from painting of “Life in Quin Courtyard during the December Time” where mountain rock, water scenery elements in the painting combining with added real landscape technology to complete “Stamps of Landscape”; the personal collection of Qian Long’s “Foreign Color Brocade Flower Vase Sets with Mountains and Rivers” as interactive installation foundation, and combined with dress color interactive detecting device of “Color of Tree”; dress designer, Mr. Shao-Yan Chen inspired by 4 pieces of Qian-Long Vase collection to deconstruct lines and colors, recreating 5 sets of conceptualized fashion custom dresses; using one of Qian-Long’s crown cap and the most meaningful collection in each person’s life, the conceptualized photography through excellent, modeling experts, and with more than 100 renown storytellers to exhibit that the concept of “every modern person can be the contemporary Qian-Long” tirelessly telling in each person’s life story.

1. Time Mirror
Material source: Portrait of Qing dynasty Qian-Long “Emperor’s Poetry collection” inside page, “Qing Qian-Long Emperor in Official Dress” painted by Giuseppe Castiglione (1688-1766) Jesuit priest, which portray the dignity status but with a bit of relaxing happiness and humorous adding humanity other than the distance of emperor’s manners.
2. Stamps of Landscape
Material source: from painting “Life in Qing Courtyard during the December Time” where mountain rock, water scenery element, clouds, flowers, houses, and people composition combining with Augmented Reality technology to allow visitor moving the landscape as wishes to construct a 3D dimension belong to each personal preference. After such interactive action, it could re-create Qian-Long emperor’s interests in literature critic work and stamp collection.
Technology application: AR (Augmented Reality) for visitor to move stamp rocks and stones at wish to construct 3D scenery belong to each self.
3. Forrest in Vases Shape
Material source: Silver lining enamel animal trace variant, enamel colors transparent lady’s ear piercing vase, enamel dragon boat racing small vase, enamel yellow flower blossom with banana shape goblet design by Mr. Shao-Yan Chen inspired by 4 vases collection of Qian-Long to construct line drawing and color, which is a re-creating of 5 sets of conceptualized fashion customized dresses. These 5 sets of dress design were partly inspired from Qian-Long emperor’s gown and Qing dresses; other parts came from Qing dynasty flower vase objects, and simplified to express the geometric design with 3D dimension. In cloth manipulation, it combined special cotton and black cotton yarn to present its gloss luster just like coming from inside of porcelain. The vibrant colors are expressed by classic Chinese engraved yellow, indigo blue, black ink and jade decorated with brass flowers and animals which show in between reality and abstract for the effects of modern elegance.
4. Tree of Colors
Material source: Foreign color brocade transparent mountain and river vase set. Among Qian-Long emperor’s vase collections, we select Foreign color brocade transparent mountain and river vase sets as the foundation of interactive installation with the classic heritage of mountain and river painting it is a breakthrough for the theme subject. The binding of dress color interactive installation, we let every interactive participants visitor’s wearing color style, fitting and matching the pattern through digital extraction and mold out unique, personal, classic, but modernized new aesthetic art. Everyone has each owns habit and self taste, and because of such different taste and preference, it reflected a different aesthetic taste during the interactive process which created innovative personalized artifact.
Technology application: body dress color sensor. Through the white transparent porcelain vase, it fits with body color sensor to transform each person’s dress color into the porcelain.
5. Qian-Long C.H.A.O., Non-profit Photography Exhibition "You Are Qian-Long!"
Through one of Qian-Long’s crown cap and the most meaningful collection in each person’s life, the conceptualized photography through excellent, modeling experts, and with more than 100 renown storyteller to exhibit that the concept of “every modern person can be the contemporary Qian-Long” tirelessly telling in each person’s life story. No matter the scenery along the trail are changing, but the most beautiful scenery is always people itself.
