Intelligent Electronics Institute & Texas Instruments Launches the Cooperative Training Project for Taiwan’s Top Talent

In order to promote the cooperation between domestic and international suppliers and take advantage of IoT-related business opportunities, the Industrial Development Bureau's Intelligent Electronics Institute is announcing the official kickoff of the 2016 Innovative Leaders Training Program today (September 22). During the ceremony, it was announced that this year's training program will be co-signed by the world's leading analog semiconductor manufacturer Texas Instruments to jointly promote the training of professionals in the embedded processing and analog sectors. The training program will help domestic suppliers take advantage of new opportunities in smart technologies and smart manufacturing to expand into the new market alongside foreign manufacturers.
“The Intelligent Electronics Institute's Innovative Leaders Training Program” was first organized in 2010; it focuses on promoting collaboration and exchanges between top executives of Taiwan's electronics industry, as well as encourage cross-domain development. The event will feature to a hundred CEO-level lecturers from all over the world, and they will share their success stories and analyze ongoing trends in the smart electronics sector. Hundreds of executives from TSMC, MediaTek, Asus, Lite-On, Himax, SPIL, Realtek, Macronix, and Garmin will participate in the event as they hope to inspire innovative strategies and action plans within the industry. This training program has been expanded to central and southern Taiwan with overwhelming participation.
This year's Innovative Leaders Training Program focuses on the advantages of the hardware manufacturing industry, combined with new ideas to promote R&D in smart electronics as its main goal. Two major objectives include fueling the growth of the smart electronics industry and increasing manufacturing quality and production efficiency. HTC, Nvidia, Infineon, and many other well-known domestic/international manufacturers are invited to share their knowledge on topics such as technology management, smart applications, smart transportation, long-term medical care, as well as key technical applications and their development. During today's kickoff ceremony, General Manager Yuan-Jung Li of Texas Instruments and General Manager Chih-Feng Cheng of Siemens were invited to present keynote speeches to help industry professionals grasp new application requirements as well as march toward a new direction of development.
Bureau Director Ming-Chi Wu from the Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, expressed that during a key moment in industrial restructuring, Industrial Development Bureau's Intelligent Electronics Institute and Texas Instruments (TI) will work together to create a more comprehensive training platform for developing the Institute's top talent; through this cooperation framework, advanced technologies can be developed more rapidly and more outstanding individuals can receive training to drive the industry forward. General Manager Yuan-Jung Li of Texas Instruments also stated that through this collaborative training project, he hopes both organizations can work together to support Taiwan's IoT ecosystem and rapidly construct a comprehensive industry chain with domestic suppliers to drive IoT applications such as automotive electronics, smart manufacturing, and other key technologies.
The promotion of cross-sector applications and the development of industrial R&D are essential to the transformation and advancement of semiconductor-related industries. The Industrial Development Bureau's Intelligent Electronics Institute hopes to bring companies together to brainstorm and provide more innovative action plans in the training program, as well as construct a platform to collaborate with domestic and international companies by cultivating talent at the Institute and Texas Instruments. The plan involves using talented individuals to advance industrial development, establishing a foundation for industrial development, expediting industrial upgrade and transformation, and continuing to increase the international competitiveness of Taiwan's industries.
