III Develops Museum "Smart Glasses Guides" Collocated with Smart Glasses to Create Virtual Personal Guides
While visiting a museum, do you have the experiences that you could not find a good position when following a professional guide with a lot of people around or that the touring machine is always too complicated to use? In the era that all countries are dedicated to the Cultural and Creative Industry and apply innovative and interactive technologies to curate shows so as to form new outlooks, III developed "Smart Glasses Guides" to solve problems that museum curators and visiting guests always encounter. Put on the smart glasses and one could be guided and lead by the perspective in the first person. More importantly, while viewing the works, there is no need to tap any buttons so that it is extremely easy to enjoy the guide information in various forms including words, voices, and videos. With the multimedia guide information presented by the system, it is as if there was a personal guide alongside.
The guide function was developed by patented technologies "Infrared Invisible Coding" and "Position and Orientation" which adopt unseen infrared markers for positioning. Since the technology does not interfering user vision, nor is it influenced by the lightening of the exhibition environment, the system could provide visiting guests with different information regarding the works according to the perspective of specific user. More importantly, the technology can offer tools for automatic deployment so that curators could come up with exhibition circumstances at their will and the challenges related to environment deployment could be easily solved. Since this innovative interactive technology could be applied to various high-end exhibitions, art galleries, museums, exhibition curation units, and teaching organizations could use it to rebuild new lives for themselves.
Currently, the system has successfully been applied to 2015 National Palace Museum "Giuseppe Castiglione – Lang Shining New Media Art Exhibition” and help it win "The 49th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival New Media Interactive Adult/ Professional Genre Platinum Award" and "US AAM Muse Awards-Interpretive Interactive Installations Genre Silver Award". In the future, III will actively integrate resources from different fields and create whole new business models with industry participants. Additionally, it is expected that the solution package could bring a brand new outlook for the Cultural and Creative Industry.
III "Cloud-threat Intelligent Appliance" is the Finalist in the US 2016 R&D 100 Awards
With the high speed development of technology, every country or enterprise is faced with various types of attacks harming information security constantly. In addition to economic loss, social order and national security are also jeopardized. In order to establish a safe information security defense system , III CyberTrust Technology Institute broke through traditional feature comparison technology applied to mail security and developed "Cloud-threat Intelligent Appliance(CIA)" which is based on the analyzing system focusing on abnormal behaviors of the system and assisted by technologies such as Virtual Sandbox Hypervisor Monitor as well as Virtual Time Acceleration. By analyzing the attachments of emails at the deeper levels and effectively detecting new forms of targeted threats to information security, the system can immediately block the threats and prevent information security disasters from happening in the meantime and with efficiency.
Looking into the future, with the support of Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs, III will reveal to the public that high-tech development is there for the society and continuously dedicate its power to software research and development. In addition to building the foundation of information and communication system, III expects to gain much more recognition from the international society, increases the popularity of its research and development ability globally, and expedites the cross domain integration of various industries. By combining software and hardware power, III is able to assist domestic firms enter the global markets and grasp international business opportunities.
