III Assists Allion Labs, Inc. Establish the First Lab in Asia Providing IoT Standard Certification Service with OCF certification.

III Industry Development Augmentation Division has worked with OCF, one of International IoT organizations, to assist domestic firms acquire international standardization certification. In 2016, III helped Allion's lab pass through inspections one after another to become the only OCF certified lab in Taiwan and one of the first labs to be authorized by OCF around the globe.
According to the research provided by III MIC, the value of IoT related applications will reach 1.5 trillion USD in 2025. Facing the up surging waves of IoT, the intelligent consumer electronics industry is obliged to adopt more international technical specifications so as to confront coming challenges and grasp trillion dollar business opportunities.
For the reason, supported by Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, III Industry Development Augmentation Division (IDAD) has long cooperated with global IoT organization Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF) and assisted domestic firms acquire international standardization certification. This year (2016), Allion Labs passed OCF verification to become the only OCF certified lab in Taiwan and one of the first few labs to be authorized by OCF around the globe. The lab can provide standardized tests for the products manufactured by IoT companies.
III helps VIA Technologies acquire OCF certification to become the first certified company in Asia
III not only assisted Allion Labs become the first OCF certified lab but also diligently dedicated to facilitating the communication between domestic IoT enterprises. With the assistance of III, VIA technologies sent its products to Allion Labs for certification and became the first domestic firm to participate in standardized certification in Asia. After passing the certification, VIA technologies will be the first and the most important example for its counterparts in the industry in Taiwan who are also interested in setting their visions in the global IoT markets.
III IDAD Director General Dr. Hsien-Tang Ko indicated in the "Achievement Sharing Presentation of International Standard Recognition for Front End Smart Family" that in addition to Allion Labs, domestic enterprises such as D-Link, ECS, and PEGATRON, all actively participated in the event. OCF specifically chose Taiwan as the venue for its general assembly to announce the important information associated with coalition, which represented that OCF values Taiwan enterprises highly with regard to the market share of their products and the influence in Asia markets. By taking the opportunity, OCF also expected to deeply understand the competitiveness and strength of various Taiwan enterprises so as to work closely with each other and look forward to the bright future.
*Note: Open Connectivity Foundation(OCF)-In 2014, OCF was founded collectively by Intel, Samsung, Ateml, Broadcom, and Wind River ect. By far, it is the most well-structured IoT organization around the globe and, in October 2016, was allied with Qualcomm and Microsoft of Allseen alliance to become the largest organization in the IoT industry with the most numerous technology specifications.
