To embrace the high efficiency of Industry 4.0, Eclat Textile, one of the leading companies in the garment industry, signed MOU with III on April 10th, taking the first step from traditional industry to smart manufacturing. For a long period of time, Eclat Textile has specifically dedicated to research and development and manufactured high performance sportswear. The company not only has a complete vertical integrated supply chain, but also is widely recognized by international well-known brands as well as retailers from around the world. However, facing the fast changing market, as one of the top tier textile manufactures around the globe, Eclat Textile understands the importance of innovation. By this cooperation, Eclat Textile relies on the AI smart solution package developed by III to construct order establishment and introducing automatic system. With the system, it is possible to simplify manual process and further build a complete database. Additionally, by introducing AI intelligent analysis, Eclat Textile could effectively respond to market demand and increase the efficiency of manufacturing so as to keep its lead in global competition.
In the past, traditional industries in Taiwan were well acknowledged internationally because of their distinguished research and development capability. Nevertheless, due to the rapid changing pace of the digital era, it is inevitable for companies today to grasp the technologies enabling instant awareness of market fluctuation. The top priority of the various works needed to be done is to simplify the original complex manual workflow. Take Eclat Textile for example, since the order formats from clients are different, the order establishment process relies heavily on staffs to manually interpret customer orders, input the information by hand, and compile data at the end of the process. It is extremely time consuming. By working with III, Eclat Textile could establish a complete order inquiry system within a short period of time. Applying III developed Semantic Exploration Technologies to automatically differentiate and analyze words, the system could then gather the information regarding items, colors, sizes, etc. and dramatically optimize the work flow and save a great amount of time. In the future, III will also help introduce AI intelligent analysis so as to increase the manufacturing efficiency of Eclat Textile and at the same time, establish a solid case as the paradigm for domestic companies to introduce AI analysis.
Eclat Textile CEO Chen-hai Hung pointed out that currently, manufacturing big firms in the U.S. and Europe are transforming in accordance with big data and intelligent analysis so that they can create more value and maintain international competitiveness. If the manufacturing industries in Taiwan expect to keep competitive, there is no other way but to introduce intelligent analysis systems to automatic production lines and schedule planning routines. This time, signing MOU with III, Eclat Textile expects to count on III for its precious experience in the information industry and further assist Taiwanese industries increase competitiveness and productivity effectively.
III also indicates that to transform and upgrade traditional industries in Taiwan need to embrace new thinking. In addition to brand establishment and peripheral value creation, what is more important for companies in the business is to get the first-hand knowledge of customer preference and fashion trend and be back to the market with what the consumers need so as to be able to stand firmly in the revolutionary waves of the market and increase competitiveness. III expects that by the cooperation case of working with Eclat Textile this time, the model could be solidly established that enterprises raise their questions and professional legal research entities could provide solutions. In the future, through the process of digitization and intelligentization, industries could help their staffs apply technology efficiently to learn things quickly and increase knowledge by providing innovative and user friendly interfaces of various systems so that they could come up with smart upgrading solutions applying AI knowledge for traditional industries of Taiwan.
