To expedite the improvement of Taiwan IoT industry in the application field, InSnergy research and development team, an III strategically nurtured IoT specialized unit, has spun off from original organization and established InSnerger Technology Co.,Ltd. The first round of fund raising attracted investment more than 100 million NTDs from LITE-ON Technology Corporation, AAEON, Trinity Investment Corporation, and National Development Fund. On April 18th, along with the inauguration of IoT application launching convention, an official opening ceremony was held and the representatives of more than 40 organizations attended the event, including LITE-ON Technology, AAEON, MiTAC, Far EasTone Telecommunications, Microsoft, DELL, Metal Industries Research & Development Centre, Taiwan Association of Energy Service Companies, New Taipei City Green Industry Association, CTCI Foundation, etc. III expects to work with each unit in the group to collectively develop various innovative applications applying IoT technologies so as to comprehensively grasp the enormous business opportunities in the field.
InSnerger Technology General Manager Chi-Cheng Chuang indicated that with the support from the project of "Open Service Platform of Hybrid Networks" developed by the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT), Ministry of Economic Affairs, InSnerger Technology established its core technologies on overcoming various barriers of connecting devices between communications modules, network connection equipment, cloud platforms, and application service devices. Additionally, integrating software and hardware expertise, InSnerger Technology showed its core competence by immediately connecting traditional equipment to two AI application service cloud networks, In-Factory and In-Park, and commodifying possible network products within 10 days. Such efficiency helps enterprises to catch up with the pace of IoT era.
The platform has constantly received international awards since 2011, including R&D 100 Awards and EUROINVENT Gold Award, etc. In addition to that, there are more than 300 foreign or domestic enterprises introduced to the platform. The team also led companies to Southeast Asia countries like Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Cambodia as well as helped them expand energy management markets in these countries.
According to previous on-site experience, the team realized that traditional manufacture industries in Taiwan have a relatively vague understanding about the application of IoT. For this reason, the introduction process of industry 4.0 is separated into three parts from easy to difficult to actually solve the problems occurring at factories and generate solid benefits. Currently, InSnerger Technology simultaneously provides two AI cloud services "In-Factory" and "In-Park" to help enterprises monitor their factories as well as industrial park energy supply, equipment, and machines. Smart Factory Cloud AI Manager "In-Factory" could not only monitor factory basic energy supply, equipment and machines but also integrate intelligent analysis technology to facilitate the transformation and upgrading of traditional factories by a smoothing three step sequence. On the other hand, in accordance with global development trends, Smart Industrial Park Cloud AI Manager "In-Park" is able to offer a variety of application services such as lighting management, traffic monitoring, red line parking violation monitoring, air quality monitoring, and flood monitoring, by which industrial park management center could efficiently and effectively understand the instant situation of the park and make timely response so as to create a safe and convenient environment in the industrial park.
III Chairman Dr. Chih-Kung Lee points out that InSnerger Technology derives from III InSnergy team, which has devoted to IoT technology for many years. Starting from the field of Internet Smart Energy Management, the team goes even further to various application domains and services like factory, households, street light, renewable energy, etc, and in the meantime, InSnerger Technology is leading the industry along the road of development and transformation towards the era of Industry 4.0. With solid technology and experience, the team expects to further explore the industry and collaborate with a wide variety of companies so that it could increase the depth and expand the range of IoT application.
Taiwan has been well known for its excellent hardware development technology around the globe. Nevertheless, facing the current trend of IoT development, industries in Taiwan need to contemplate about the crucial points in the next wave of global competition regarding how to integrate software and hardware as well as develop more application services that are suitable for different industries environment. By the event, InSnerger Technology invites numerous representatives of leading companies in the industry as well as hardware companies and launches multiple development and collaboration models associated with application services in the hope that all participants in the environment could collectively provide IoT integration services. Such integration could no doubt increase management efficiency of Taiwanese firms with regard to cross-site factory equipment and machine management in Southeast Asia countries and around the world. InSnerger Technology is scheduled to gradually reach out its services to local factories and industrial parks in various countries, which paves the road for Taiwanese companies entering global markets and collectively grasp business opportunities.
