|
Abstract
A data correction apparatus, a data correction method and a tangible machine-readable medium thereof are provided. The data correction method comprises the following steps: receiving a plurality of packets; determining that all of the packets are erroneous packets according to cyclic redundancy check (CRC XOR) logical calculation to generate a plurality of error patterns; obtaining an overall error pattern according to an OR logical calculation of the error patterns; and calculating a correct packet according to one or more of the packets and the overall error pattern.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR NETWORK SYNCHRONIZATION |
USA
|
Abstract
A method and a system for network synchronization are provided. In this method, when a node attempts to join a network, a parent node is searched from all other nodes already joined the network per specific time interval. If the parent node can be found, sync-information sent by the parent node is received by the node so as to synchronize with the parent node and enter a working mode. When a sleeping instruction sent by the parent node is received, or a timer determines that a network ending time is reached according to the sync-information, the node switches to a sleeping mode. However, when the timer determines that a network wakeup time is reached according to the sync-information, the node attempts to join the network again. All nodes in the network can work and sleep simultaneously so as to extend the lifetime of the battery.

COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND HANDSHAKE METHOD THEREOF |
USA
|
Abstract
A communication system and a handshake method thereof are provided. The communication system has a service path and comprises a BS, at least one MS, and an MS. One of the at least one RS is located within a coverage of the BS. The MS is located within a coverage of one of the at least one RS. The BS, the at least one RS, and the MS are configured to build the service path via handshaking according to a plurality of control signals, each of the control signals has an authentication code adopted to be authenticated completeness of the control signal, and each of the control signals is generated by one of the BS, the at least one RS, and the MS.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DIGITAL IMAGE STABILIZATION |
USA
|
Abstract
A method and a system for digital image stabilization are provided for a digital image sequence. The present method calculates local motion vectors between two adjacent images by an interlaced Gray-coded bit-plane matching. An appropriate global motion vector is obtained by weighted accumulation of all local motion vectors. Finally, an accumulated motion vector is obtained by the global motion vector so as to process a motion correction on the digital image sequence and produce a stabile output image.

CONTROLLING METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SAVING ENERGY OF BUILDING |
USA
|
Abstract
A controlling method and a controlling system for saving energy of a building are provided. In the present method, a user environment requirement is obtained first. Then, a plurality of cover ratios of a sunshade device on an opening of a building is defined, and according to an environment parameter and the user environment requirement, a total electricity consumption required by air conditioning equipment and by lighting equipment in the building corresponding to each of the cover ratios is calculated. Finally, a cover ratio that produces the minimum total electricity consumption is obtained, and the sunshade device, the air conditioning equipment and the lighting equipment are adjusted according to the obtained cover ratio, so as to make the building meet the user environment requirement and maintain a status of the minimum total energy consumption.

REAL-TIME POSITIONING SYSTEM, METHOD THEREFOR, AND DEVICE CONTAINING COMPUTER SOFTWARE |
USA
|
Abstract
A real-time positioning system, a real-time positioning method, and a device containing computer software are provided. The system includes a coordinator and at least one router. The coordinator carries out a signal interconnection with each router of a first layer via an omni-directional antenna, and calculates an initial distance according to the strength of the signal interconnection. Then, the coordinator carries out a signal interconnection with the router via a plurality of directional antennas respectively to analyze an initial direction of the router of the first layer according to the strength of the signal interconnection with each of the directional antennas and corrects the initial direction according to the slope angle of the coordinator, so as to position the router of the first layer according to the initial distance and the initial direction. Each router positions each router of the next layer in the same manner as the coordinator.

ERGONOMIC INERTIAL POSITIONING SYSTEMS AND METHODS |
USA
|
Abstract
An ergonomic inertial positioning system comprises a motion sensor, an angle sensor, and a processor. The motion sensor detects movement of an object. The angle sensor detects angle variation of the heading of the object. The processor determines motion status of the object based on detected data provided by the motion sensor and the angle sensor, and calculates displacement of the object utilizing the detected angle variation thereof based on the motion status.

ADAPTIVE POWER MANAGEMENT METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR WIRELESS NETWORKS |
USA
|
Abstract
Adaptive power management methods and systems for a first station and a second station in a wireless network. Each station operating in the power-saving (PS LI NBI BBIs SBIs RBI PS LI NBI BBIs SBIs RBI)” within a beacon window. Once the first station correctly receives the beacon frame from the second station, the first station predicts the awake/sleep schedule of the second station, and transmits data frames to the second station at the NBI of the second station.

POWER-SAVING WIRELESS NETWORK, PACKET TRANSMITTING METHOD FOR USE IN THE WIRELESS NETWORK AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIA |
USA
|
Abstract
A power-saving wireless network, a packet transmitting method for use in the wireless network, and computer readable medium therefor are provided. The wireless network comprises a PAN coordinator, a receiving node and a transferring node. When the transmitting node has a packet planed to be transmitted to the receiving node which is in a sleep mode, the packet is alternatively transmitted to the PAN coordinator. As soon as the receiving node wakes from the sleep mode, all packets are transmitted to the receiving node from the PAN coordinator. After the packets are all successfully transmitted, the receiving node turns back to the sleep mode subsequently. Thereby, the performance of the wireless network would not be restricted to the sleep period and memory capacity. Thus, the nodes in the wireless network would greatly facilitate saving power.

APPARATUS, METHOD, AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM FOR TRANSMITTING DATA VIA A PLURALITY OF NETWORK INTERFACES |
USA
|
Abstract
An apparatus, a method, a computer program, and a computer readable medium for transmitting data via a plurality of network interfaces are provided. The apparatus derives statuses of transmission media and then transmits data based on the statuses. In addition, each base station adopts tunneling technique by adding a tunnel header to each of the transmitted packets. By the aforementioned arrangement, a mobile device is capable of adjusting the data amount for each of the network interfaces. Thus, the throughput of mobile host can be increased and connection can be dependable.
