III is heavily involved in international collaboration projects, bringing in the benefits of its engineering expertise and management skills to ICT projects across the globe.
To support the internationalization of Taiwan’s software industry, III expands its global network and develops exchange platforms that extensively create business opportunities through numerous collaborations with significant strategic partners worldwide. Promoting international collaboration and business, as well as bridging the global digital divide are III’s main goals.
The focus of international collaboration is to expedite and increase R&D undertakings, research value and the expansion of international technological collaborations through strong cooperation with foreign enterprises and academic research institutes. III actively participates in international organizations such as AFACT (Asia Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation & Electronic Business), Living Labs Global, SEI (Software Engineering Institute), RosettaNet, WiMAX forum, … etc., to study new, emerging applications and set technological standards, so as to elevate the international competitiveness of ICT application in Taiwan.
To boost international business, III strongly provides assistance to the Taiwan ICT and service industries. It works with the ICT industry to build an integrated marketing platform that would accelerate the expansion of international business in the regional markets of Southeast Asia, India, Middle East, Africa, Japan, and greater China. In support of relevant cross-strait cooperation and the Taiwan government’s exchange plan, III cultivates professional talents for domestic industry,and promotes business incubation, market development, outsourcing and cross-strait implementation standards. Moreover, it encourages partnerships in point-to-point wireless testing projects for the city.
Besides supporting businesses, III cooperates with the government’s Foreign Affairs through technological assistance tasked with bridging the global digital divide and executing the APEC TEL Digital Divide Blueprint for Action and the e-APEC Strategy. By establishing the Asia-Pacific Information Infrastructure (APII), III has increased Taiwan’s worldwide influence. Through the international collaborative mechanism of the APEC Digital Opportunity Center (ADOC), III has also helped Taiwan’s ICT industry explore emerging regional markets with great potential.
