Authorized by Ministry of Science and Technology, III executed the Digital Archive Program to bridge the distance between content providers and industry participants. To promote digital archive business authorization, III established specifically the Center of Authorization for Digital Collections (CADC) to provide services such as digital archive and museum integration.
In fact, III collaborated with National Museum of History this time curating “Cultural Creativity Encountered with Pu Xinyu”. This exhibition integrated technology with cultural creativity and perfectly combined all museum services. It not only applied interactive technologies, a customized design platform, high quality cultural creativity products, and a digital archive but also revealed the possibility of spectacularly connecting digital archive, technology and cultural creativity and demonstrated a whole new paradigm of museum marketing in the cultural creativity industry.
III president Dr. Ruey-Beei, Wu gave insights in his speech and pointed out that the digital archive industry must focus on 4 aspects: Interaction, Customization, Commercialization, and marketization. For the reason, the Center of Authorization for Digital Collections (CADC) of III collaborated with National Museum of History trying to connect various cultural creative platforms by this event showcasing the calligraphy and painting art works of Pu Xinyu. Customized platforms such as Memobook, a cloud device, and Fandora, a EC platform for illustration products both participated in the activity. They invited famous designers and illustrators reinterpreting Pu Xinyu’s art works by the combination of modern design and cute versions.
Furthermore, III cooperated with channel partners to develop cultural creative products having market potential. Take the Official Hat Cup for example. CADC collaborated with Cheerful Fashion Goods Co., Ltd. and biaugust Creation Office to create a cup with the shape of an official hat decorated with specific Pu Xinyu style totems and jewelries. A cup with an official hat on the top suggests promotion and enrichment. The mandarin pronounce of a cup is the same as that of the double so that it symbolizes double dignity. The delicately designed connected jewelries on the top also mean that good luck will come consecutively in the perspective of the eastern aesthetics.
The Fountain Pen of Princess is the product that designers combine the concepts of writing and putting on makeup of a female. The designers turn the image of a princess in Ching dynasty into the outlines of the fountain pen. Additionally, the exquisite decoration on top of the pen is specifically designed for turning, which creates, for the Fountain Pen of Princess, a unique temperament that merges classical atmosphere and modern precision manufacturing.
The face coaster is another product designed collectively by CADC and Ho Loung Ceramic Co.,Ltd. The coaster uses facial art work images created by Pu Xinyu and high quality ceramics. It is the best demonstration combining design capability with the concept of cultural creativity and ceramic modeling skills.
POUPY, a little monkey toy with the name derived from that of Pu Xinyu, is the product developed jointly by CADC and Peter Pan Art Co., Ltd. The distinguished feature of the product is its long arms. By various alluring and adorable postures and expressions, the monkey toy becomes the mascot of Pu Xinyu.
The cooperation projects mentioned above are all originated from the expectation that the upsurge of digital archive can be regenerated by the concern and dedication from diverse fields.
III dedicated to integrating cultural creativity and technology.
