SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DATA COMMUNICATION HANDOFF ACROSS HETEROGENEOUS WIRELESS NETWORKS |
USA
|
Abstract
A system and method of data communication handoff across heterogeneous wireless networks. A wireless telephony network comprises a base station system (BSS VLR WLAN) located in the cell comprises an access point. The access point receives the temporary authentication identity from the wireless telephony network and authenticates the mobile terminal for data communication via the WLAN by verifying the temporary authentication identity upon the mobile terminal associates with the access point.

QOS ROUTER SYSTEM FOR EFFECTIVELY PROCESSING FRAGMENTED IP PACKETS AND METHOD THEREOF |
USA
|
Abstract
QoS router system and method are provided for effectively processing fragmented IP packets transmitted over a network. When receiving a first fragmented IP packet of a set from a flow, a router determines whether to allow the first packet to pass or to drop by according to predefined QoS rules. A pass status is recorded in a record if the packet is allowed to pass. A drop status is recorded in the record if the packet is dropped. When receiving other fragmented IP packet of the same set, the router determines whether to allow the fragmented packet to pass or to drop by according to the previous record. If the record is drop status, the packet is dropped, and if the record is pass status, the packet is allowed to pass when the used bandwidth of the flow does not exceeds a predetermined bandwidth.

SYSTEM OF SIMULATING MOBILE COMMUNICATION AND METHOD THEREOF |
USA
|
Abstract
System and method of simulating mobile communication by means of local area network are provided. After reset of simulation mobile station, the simulated mobile station is initialized for fetching a dynamic IP address from a simulated base station controller. It is determined whether there exists a simulated base station by receiving a broadcasting packet of the simulated base station. If yes, the simulated mobile station requests the simulated base station controller to obtain the dynamic IP address and establish a channel, and the simulated mobile station performs a certification procedure on the simulated base station. If the certification procedure is successful, the simulation mobile station enters into a link state for simulating mobile communication.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BALANCING LOAD IN A WIRELESS LAN |
USA
|
Abstract
System and method for balancing load among access points in a LAN are disclosed. Each access point has a SSID. After resetting an access point, the access point entering a SSID hidden state for hiding its SSID so as to prohibit mobile stations from accessing the access point. When in the SSID hidden state, an access point enters into a SSID showing state for showing its SSID and for enabling mobile stations to couple to the access point if no show-SSID-rejection frame is received. When in the SSID showing state, an access point enters into a SSID pre-hiding state for showing its SSID if the show-SSID-rejection frame is received. When in the SSID pre-hiding state, an access point enters into the SSID hidden state if the show-SSID-rejection frame is received, otherwise the first access point entering into the SSID showing state.

LINK PATH SEARCHING AND MAINTAINING METHOD FOR A BLUETOOTH SCATTERNET |
USA
|
Abstract
A link path search and maintain method for establishing link search table between two bluetooth devices such that the devices can transfer data to/from others device located in a bluetooth scatternet. When initialization of a slave bluetooth device, the new member in a bluetooth piconet receives a link search table that transmitted from a master bluetooth device to establish a local link search table; as the link is broken or the link search table needs be updated, the slave bluetooth device executes a link search establishment transmission procedure or a link search establishment receiving procedure to update the local link search table or establish a new link search table. Then, the slave bluetooth device encapsulates the bluetooth data packet according the information of the local link search table in order to transfer data packet in a scatternet.

LINK METHOD CAPABLE OF ESTABLISHING LINK BETWEEN TWO BLUETOOTH DEVICES LOCATED IN A BLUETOOTH SCATTERNET |
USA
|
Abstract
A link method for establishing a link between two bluetooth devices is provided to enable a device to transfer data to/from other device located in a bluetooth scatternet. The link method executes a link initialization procedure when resetting or initializing a link to determine whether the role of the bluetooth device at a dedicated link is a slave or master. Then, in the link search establishment procedure, it searches all possible paths for transferring data packet and establishes a link path table. Finally, when the link detection timer expires after a pre-determined period, the link detection procedure is resumed to detect whether the link is existed. If the link is not existed, the link initialization procedure is executed; otherwise, it further determines whether to execute the link initialization procedure again. If yes, the link initialization procedure is executed, otherwise the link detection procedure is executed.

DATA TRANSFER METHOD FOR A BLUETOOTH SCATTERNET |
USA
|
Abstract
A data transfer method transfers data between two bluetooth devices located in a bluetooth scatternet. The Upper Layer PDU to be transferred is divided into a group of packets which are suitable for baseband transmission. According to a link path table, a group of link identifications of the target device is selected. A link field length, link number and multiple link ID fields of the selected group of link identifications and bluetooth header are added into data packets. A dedicate link associated with link ID1 field of present transmitting data packet and transmitter queue which corresponding to the link is used to transfer the packet through baseband, radio frequency into wireless channel.

METHOD FOR RAPIDLY DISPATCHING H.323 PACKETS |
USA
|
Abstract
A method of rapidly dispatching H.323 packets is disclosed, which is executed after an H.225 protocol connection and before a physical connection of audio/video multimedia data delivery are established between the caller and the callee, and uses Network Address & Port Translation (NAPT) to provide a changed connection port number to H.245 packets between a caller and a callee. A unique connection port number selected by the NAPT is applied to change an original connection port number for packets controlled by the H.245 protocol, thereby providing the changed connection port number as a memory index for add or delete operation and further increasing H.323 packet dispatching rate by directly and quickly comparing memory address through the memory index when searching.

JUDGMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS |
USA
|
Abstract
Judgment systems and methods. The system includes a signal gathering module, an attribute retrieval module, a rule retrieval module, and a rule execution module. The signal gathering module receives identification of at least a first card and a second card, and defines statuses thereof. The attribute retrieval module retrieves attributes corresponding to the first and second cards according to the identification thereof. The rule retrieval module retrieves a rule according to the identification and statuses of the first and second cards. The rule execution module performs the rule on the first and second cards to change the attributes thereof.

GUIDE ROUTE GENERATION METHODS AND SYSTEMS |
USA
|
Abstract
Guide route generation methods and systems. A target object is first selected by a visitor. The similarity or interest of candidate objects corresponding to the target object is calculated. Recommended objects are selected from the candidate objects according to the corresponding similarity or interest. A guide route is generated to link the recommended objects. The interest of the visitor is dynamically determined. If the interest is changed, the interest of the candidate objects is re-calculated, and recommended objects are re-selected from the candidate objects to generate a new guide route.
